Police and paramedics attended the scene, which occurred about 7.40am, near furniture retailer, Bedzz Direct, when the driver failed to see bike riding.
Police report the man was “conscious and talking” at the scene.
No charges have been laid as a result of the incident.
A spokeswoman for Wagga Base Hospital confirmed the man was being treated and in a stable condition.
Wagga police Inspector John McLay said as the weather get warmer it's important bike riders and cyclists use the road in a safe way.
“Entering and exiting motorists don’t always have a clear view, especially if the bike rider is using the footpath,” he said.
