About 15,000 people packed into the Temora Airfield to watch the spectacular and were wowed with over 55 aircraft taking to the skies.
In only its second year, the biannual event proved to be a hit with 5000 more people attending this year than in 2011.
"It's been great, with really good crowds and the flying went off without a hitch," Temora Aviation Museum assistant manager Lisa Love said.
Mrs Love was pleased with the attendance of the event, meeting the expectations of organisers.
"We were ready for it but you never know who many people are going to show up until you open the gates," she said.
Airplanes, both in service and retired, dazzled the crowds with F/A-18 Hornets, Hawks and Roulettes from the RAAF proving very popular as did the C-130.
Spitfires, Mustangs and Kittyhawks were the sentimental favourites on the day, according to Mrs Love, with plenty of planes of the ground for the crowds to explore.
"We had everything from cross covered biplanes to current fighter jets so there was a great variety of aircraft," she said.
The Squadron Tent Barracks was a new edition in 2013 with the tent city proving a popular alternative accommodation.
"All reports from tent city is that its gone very well, they were all happy and apparently there was a great sense of community in there," Mrs Love said.
"I think a few on them are bleary eyed and going home today."
There is already interest in the dates for the next Warbirds Downunder, but the dates wouldn't be announced for about another year.
