AFTER copping a 41-point flogging in round one, Cootamundra coach Andrew Glover yesterday revealed there is no cause for concern about its Southern Inland Rugby Union season.

A fortnight after their 41-0 defeat at the hands of Griffith at Coro Club Oval, the Tri-Colours have put the loss in the past for Saturday's clash with Leeton at Country Club Oval, Glover said.

"Things are looking up for us, we're keen to just put that one behind us and try and build on the positives that came out of the game," he told The Daily Advertiser yesterday.

"This weekend is a really good test for us. Leeton really handled Tumut quite comfortably so it's a great test for us at home.

"Even better that, we've got the ground all fixed up. It's looking a picture at the moment."

Eager to celebrate victory on the newly refurbished ground, Glover said the Country Club Oval is in perfect shape for Saturday's game.

Glover said the turf has been resowed, and there is a new hill and fences for spectators to enjoy for the first time on Saturday.

SIRU representative Alex Hardie is set to rejoin he Tri-Colours this weekend after missing round one with his brother and fullback Graeme with family commitments.

Glover said the addition of Alex at No.8 will give the Tri-Colours a massive boost against the Phantoms on Saturday, while the week off has given his team the chance to recover from minor first round injuries.

"It's been good, it's given everyone the chance to get over a few bumps and bruises," he said.

"The (Hardie) boys will be back in their preferred positions which is good, they've been training with us and we've had some pretty good training sessions.

"We're all just looking forward to our first home game."

Glover is confident the Tri-Colours will be at full strength against Phantoms on Saturday.
