Tarcutta's stalled $3.9 million truck museum proposal has been given a jump-start, with a submission to approve Crown land for the heritage site given approval.

The Daily Advertiser reported last week the project was at a standstill, with the application submitted more than 12 months ago, but fears the tourist attraction would not go ahead have been allayed by the Natural Resources and Property Services (NRPS) agreeing to the plan.
Truck museum committee member Daryl Weston was ecstatic yesterday the proposal had finally met success.
"I'm excited," he said.
"The committee's got a new lease of life."
Final approval of the development is still being sought, as is the tabling of documents in parliament for the site.
The timeframe for this is expected to be only a number of weeks and Mr Weston said the committee had already been working on new goals.
"We went and visited two museums in Wollongong on a fact-finding mission," he said.
"Now we've got to start some serious fund-raising."
Mr Weston hoped the centre would inject money into the community following the bypass of Tarcutta about 18 months ago and was keen to progress to the next stage of development.
"We've got to get some plans drawn up and submit a DA," he said.
"We've got a concept plan, but we've got to get plans (drawn up) council can approve."
Final plans by Roads and Maritime Services regarding the bypass which the Crown land shares a boundary with have not been received by the NRPS, but it was not a concern to Mr Weston.
"We've spoken to them and they are virtually ready to go," he said.
"We are anticipating only a few weeks to get that done now."
