Police approached a car with three men inside parked outside a service station on the Newell Highway around 9.45pm last night.
The vehicle was searched and police allegedly uncovered a submachine gun missing the barrel, ammunition, a large amount of cash and a white powder believed to be amphetamine.
Police have charged two men in relation to the matter.
A 33-year-old Queensland man was refused bail last night and will appear at Leeton Local Court later today after being charged with possessing a prohibited firearm, possessing ammunition, supplying a prohibited drug and two counts each of dealing with property suspected to be proceeds of crime and goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen.
A 35-year-old man will face court next month after he was issued a court attendance notice for possessing a prohibited drug. He was allegedly found with cannabis.
