GANMAIN-Grong Grong-Matong teenage sensation Curtis Steele is ready for whatever Collingullie-Ashmont-Kapooka is prepared to throw at him in Sunday's Riverina Football League blockbuster.Steele is the hottest property in the RFL at the moment with his sensational form this season leading many to rate him as the favourite for this year's Jim Quinn Medal. The 19-year-old was best-on-ground again for the Lions last weekend in their 108-point win over Griffith, the sixth occasion from 11 games this year that Steele has been named GGGM's best.Steele has moved into the Lions' midfield in recent weeks and handled the step up with back-to-back best-on-ground performances. His form has meant opposition teams have begun to tag him but the increased attention is not something that worries Steele."Not really," Steele said."I've been tagged the last couple of weeks. Guy Orton did it on the weekend, I think because he played with me in the rep team and knows how I play. I got tagged against Coolamon, too."It doesn't worry me. I just try and worry about my own game."Steele's form led him to win an RFL jumper in this year's representative fixture and it has also led to interest from Greater Western Sydney (GWS).The laid-back GGGM speedster credits his form to a few different reasons."I'm really happy, I'm having a pretty good season, it's been better than last year," Steele said. "Probably this year I've been a lot more consistent with my footy, I'm getting to training a fair bit and I'm happy within myself."Steele played his junior football with East Wagga-Kooringal until the age of 16 when he crossed to GGGM, the club his father, uncle and cousins played and continue to play for.The Lions will look to stretch their undefeated streak to 12 on Saturday when they take on CAK.GGGM beat CAK by 38 points last time but the Demons will enter this clash on the back of five straight wins and some good form.Steele believes the Lions have the team to combat the Demons. “I think we’ll go all right,” Steele said.“We produced a four-quarter effort last week and it came together and we played pretty well. “We put a fair bit of pressure on the other teams too which shuts them down a bit.”Steele said the Lions have plenty of respect for the Farrer League champions and rates them as the number one challenger.“At the moment they’re our biggest danger,” Steele said.
