THREE Wagga cyclists will fight it out for overall victory in the Tour of Two Rivers series when the final leg gets under way at Wantabadgery tomorrow.
Wagga trio Dan Uden, Simon Haworth and Jason Condon are all in contention for the prestigious A grade title heading into the final leg.
Uden leads the tour, while a second placing to Haworth at Cootamundra last month has closed the gap on the leader, with Condon within striking distance in third spot.
The tough 65-kilometre final leg will start at 11am tomorrow, beginning and finishing at Wantabadgery.
Wagga cycling legend Barry O'Hagan said an intriguing final leg would play out tomorrow.
"This course is tough and it's sure to test the boys out," O'Hagan said yesterday.
"In A grade, three Wagga boys are up the top and will fight it out.
"It's pretty close in all four grades, so we're set up for a great finish."
Wagga cyclists will also fight out the finish in B grade, with Brad Carroll and Josh Kennedy going head-to-head, with Peter Johnson the nearest rival.
In C grade, Cootamundra cyclists Shaun Williams and Mark Ward are set for a tight finish, with Griffith's Kingsley Massey not without a hope in third place.
In D grade, Junee's Dominic Sheppard is locked together on 42 points with Griffith's David Smith heading into the final round.
O'Hagan said there was currently 75 nominations for the final leg of the series, with nominations also accepted on the day.
The Wantabadgery leg concludes the series, which has seen races at Albury, Cootamundra, Griffith and Wagga.
