The third-grader single-handedly guided his team to victory over Wagga RSL Blue by taking a triple hat-trick and then scoring a century.
Stuart ended the day with 7-14 and 101 runs.
It was the first time Stuart had scored a century and the first time he had taken a hat-trick.
“It was definitely my lucky day,” he said.
“The hat-trick ball was probably the worst of the five, it was down leg side and Rod Wells took a really good catch.
“When I was batting, I got my eye in at the start but was having a swing towards the end and got lucky a couple of times.”
After taking two early wickets in the Wagga RSL innings, the left-arm spinner came on to bowl the 19th over of the day.
Stuart bowled Daniel Kennedy for three, had Nathan Hawkins caught by Wayne Carter and then completed the hat-trick with the wicket of Craig Hines.
However, he wasn’t finished and bowled Todd Tenison and Will Antill with the next two deliveries.
“It was chaos ... all the boys were running around, yelling and laughing,” Stuart said.
A triple hat-trick is five wickets taken in five consecutive balls.
Unbelievably, it is the second triple hat-trick taken in the Riverina this season after Junee’s Joe Crowder achieved the feat earlier this month.
Stuart then opened the batting for Kooringal.
“I knew we were chasing a small total so I wanted to get my eye in and then I was able to start going a bit harder,” he said.
“I was dropped once and I knew I was getting close and it was definitely a relief when I passed three figures.
“As a team we’ve been playing really well since Christmas, we might not make the finals but it has been good to get a few wins.”
