Wagga will be in the TV spotlight next month.
Channel Nine program Postcards visited the city yesterday taking in the sights before showing the city to the world.
Among the many attractions visited yesterday were the Botanic Gardens, Wagga zoo, miniature railway, Museum of the Riverina and Wagga Sporting Hall of Fame.
Presenter Scott McRae has plenty of history in Wagga and the Riverina as his father was born in the city and he is also distantly related to explorer Charles Sturt.
"The show is about giving people a teaser, a taste of a town or region so that it entices them to visit themselves," he said.
"My father was born here, it is pretty exciting to get the opportunity to visit and promote Wagga."
"Tomorrow we're visiting Junee and staying at Monte Cristo, which should be interesting, and then going to Temora to visit the museum and take a flight in a Tiger Moth."
Postcards is shown throughout Australia and will shortly begin showing on Discovery Travel, which is broadcast through more than 30 countries.
During the tour of the Sporting Hall of Fame, the Postcards crew was guided around by former AFL footballer and hall of fame member Paul Kelly.
