 Uden video finally available

Uden video finally available

08 Feb, 2012 03:27 PM
Here is the video no one wanted the community to see.

Wagga City councillor Clint Uden escaped conviction for his offensive language and behaviour in threatening the Capital Nightclub after he was refused entry in September.

Cr Uden pleaded guilty to the charges and was placed on a 12-month good behaviour bond, with no conviction, in November.

Cr Uden was also found guilty of breaching code of conduct provisions by an independent investigator. He has since apologised publicly.

The footage of Cr Uden's expletive-laden spray at security has been kept from the public since the incident.

Parts of this video have been deliberately blurred to protect the identities of night-clubbers. Obscenities have also been edited out.

Why is it that when someone gets a small amount of power they believe that they are untouchable.

This person is meant to be a role model. Well done to the security officer who showed professionalism and restraint.

I don't get it. He walked off as soon as he was asked, why did the bouncer shove him in the back? That's what started the whole argument, before that he was annoyed, but he left as asked. What right did he have to touch him?

It does not matter who you are when you are told to leave a licenced premises then you leave. Don't stand there and argue and talk yourself up as a "Legislator". It was quite funny that most people did not know who he was.

He'd walked off??? He was obviously shoved in the back. No wonder he lost the plot.

I am sure the Capital has seen far worse! I think everyone under the age of 40 has had words to a bouncer at one point or another. Uden still has my vote!

Capital Nightclub are just as bad, security was just as bad to think as if they are the police. Capital Nightclub to release this video since they claim to not have gotten a face to face apology is just as bad as Uden's actions. Sure, Uden's actions where not appropriate but this has gone to court and a ruling was made but clearly there is a group targeting him for there own interests and not the publics. Australia's political system is very much becoming what the US is today.

It all becomes real when you have to come and pick your son up in the early hours of the morning when he had been kicked out of the Capital and he has facial injuries and chipped teeth due to the actions of security at the Capital..he was out with friends for a good time but certain security personnel are overwhelmed with power.........there has to be accountability....security are not always in the right....
