WAGGA residents have the chance to rub shoulders with swimming royalty today when Olympians Eamon Sullivan and Stephanie Rice visit the Marketplace.
The big names of the pool, in the city to launch underwear giant Davenport's Australia Day range, will be in the Marketplace from 10.45am to noon.
A huge crowd is expected to descend on the shopping centre to catch a glimpse of the glamorous pair and hear stories of their phenomenal swimming success.
To celebrate the visit from Sullivan and Rice, The Daily Advertiser has launched an Australia Day gift pack competition, with a massive response from the city's sport-loving community.
The exclusive competition was in partnership with Big W and Davenport and the prize pack includes a swim cap autographed by the two stars, Davenport wrist bands, a frisbee and Australian Day pyjamas for both men and women.
Competition organiser Susie Welsh-Wecker declared entries had been "flooding in", with still a week to go before the competition closes on Friday, January 29.
The highlight of the morning is expected to be the Davenport Underwear's Great Wagga Wedgie Tug-of-War, with six shoppers selected by Rice and Sullivan to battle it out to win a host of prizes.
Wagga was selected for the rare visit after recording consistently high numbers of underwear sales compared to other centres across New South Wales and Australia.
The new range will be available at Big W.
