KIMBERLY Poulsen was yesterday found safe and sound, days after she was reported missing from her Sydney home and believed to have been headed for Junee.
Ms Poulsen was reported missing from the inner-west suburb of Earlwood, where she lives at the Earlwood Hotel, at the weekend.
NSW Police issued a missing persons alert on Sunday evening after they were informed the intellectually disabled Ms Poulsen had not returned to her home since she left on Friday morning and could not be
contacted on her phone.
It was believed she was heading for the Riverina to meet a man she had met online.
Ms Poulsen was located safe and well in Goulburn yesterday afternoon, Wagga Local Area Command crime manager, Detective Inspector Rod Smith confirmed.
“The missing person from Earlwood, Kim Poulsen, has been found safe and well (yesterday),” he said.
“(There will be) no further action in relation to this matter. Thank you to all who assisted in the search for her.”
It is understood Ms Poulsen was in the company of another person and presented herself to police.
Ms Poulsen was last seen by an employee of the Earlwood Hotel as she headed to her room on Thursday night and CCTV footage showed her leaving the hotel at 7.30am on Friday.
An online plea from her sister spread quickly, as did posts from the NSW Police social media team.
