GETTING plastered is an unusual way to raise money for a good cause, but there's sure to be a long line of willing participants at today's Wagga Base Hospital Auxiliary fete.
The "plastering" doesn't involve alcohol but is of a medical nature with auxiliary volunteers on hand with bandages and plaster to immobilise arms, legs and ankles.
All proceeds from the day which kicks off at 10am and runs until 3pm in the hospital grounds, will go towards the purchase of equipment to benefit hospital patients.
The fete has a large number of stalls, auxiliary president Rodney Parsons saying there would be something for everyone.
Kids will have plenty to keep them occupied, with balloons, face painting and amusements on offer throughout the day.
Visitors without lunch plans will also find a variety of ways to beat hunger pains, with a barbecue lunch, cakes created by ladies from both the CWA and the auxiliary and even Devonshire teas available for those looking for something a little bit different.
Santa will also arrive on the back of a fire truck to say hello to all the little boys and girls.
