A WAGGA woman whose uncontrolled dog bit a pedestrian on the leg has been fined more than $1300 for four offences.
Anne Craze, of Northcott Parade, Mount Austin, did not attend court for the matter on Tuesday and was convicted in her absence.
The offences were taken to court after Craze failed to pay fines imposed by Wagga City Council last November.
Four council penalty notices alleged Craze's male blue heeler, called Spike, was uncontrolled and roaming along Northcott Parade at various times in November last year.
One penalty notice said the dog was harassing walkers, while another alleged the dog bit a pedestrian on the leg.
The four penalty notices added up to $1210, but magistrate Anthony Murray increased one fine from $220 to $350, taking total fines to $1340.
He also ordered Craze pay court costs totalling $304, taking the amount Craze must pay to $1644.
