CDP party visits Wagga

LEADER: NSW member and founder of the Christian Democratic Party, Fred Nile will be in Wagga on Sunday at the Senior Citizens Centre for a public meeting with residents from 3pm.
LEADER: NSW member and founder of the Christian Democratic Party, Fred Nile will be in Wagga on Sunday at the Senior Citizens Centre for a public meeting with residents from 3pm.

MEMBERS of the Christian Democratic Party (CDP) -the only national Christian political party in Australia, will be in Wagga this weekend.NSW member for CDP and founder of the party, Reverend Fred Nile and senate candidate of CDP for this year's election, Paul Green will arrive in Wagga on Saturday night.The CDP campaigns vigourously on many matters which have detrimental effects on indiviuals, families and communities.Rev Nile, with his wife Elaine and Mr Green will be spending Sunday in Wagga to meet with locals and discuss political topics.They will meet with Wagga City Council mayor, Kerry Pascoe in the morning before Rev Nile speaks at the Church of Christ at 9.45am, than preaches at the Kings Christian Church at 10am.A public meeting, with afternoon tea, will be held at 3pm at the Senior Citizens Centre.Rev Nile founded the Call to Australia Party in 1977, which was renamed CDP in 1997.He is also the longest serving member of the Legislative Council and is also an ordained minister.Rev Nile has introduced a number of bills relating to protecting the unborn child, banning alcohol and tobacco advertising, smoking in public places and others.He currently serves on several parliamentary committees, including matters of children and young people, health care complaints, and as committee chairman, the Royal North Shore Hospital.
