The Japanese-born, New Zealand raised, star has been hailed by some as the new Margot Fonteyn and is attracting global recognition.
At the weekend she performed in the Australian Ballet's production of Don Quixote at the Civic Theatre in front of crowds eager to see her skill.
The Saturday night show was the teenager's Australian swan song after she was invited to take just one of two full-time contracts with Paris Opera Ballet School.
She is expected to begin a seasonal contract with the company tomorrow.
"A lot of people in the audience have never had the opportunity to see live ballet before," she said
